Strategy

Nextensa positions itself as a responsible real estate player developing projects with added value in both ecological and social terms. Our ambition is clear: to lead by example. To do this, we are guided by a transparent vision in terms of the environment, society and governance. The principle underlying this vision is to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

Initiatives & partnerships

Nextensa does not act in isolation to achieve its objective of creating a more sustainable living environment. We are constantly seeking to establish connections and partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders who pursue a common goal of ecological and energy sustainability as well as of social cohesion and support to communities, in order to exchange knowledge and experiences and create a meaningful ecosystem.

Highlights

Our last two published sustainability reports have given details, on the basis of sustainability standards and frameworks, of Nextensa’s potential negative and positive impacts in connection with 14 pre-defined priority ESG topics. They have also highlighted the ESG topics that need to be addressed most urgently given their high impact: CO2 neutrality, circularity, water management, healthy buildings, mixed neighbourhoods and biodiverse environments, Nextensa’s people and partnership and co-creation.

Team

To ensure the successful implementation of its sustainable development strategy, Nextensa has set up an ESG Committee. This is responsible for advising the management on strategic decisions involving sustainability priorities, disseminating these within the business, setting objectives and key performance indicators, and engaging all members of the organisation in ESG processes.
