A unique place: attractive, inspiring and ambitious
Description
This former railway station, in service until the 1980s, is 280 m long, 140 m wide and 24 m high. It now houses 12 wooden pavilions intended to be used as workspaces, shops and event venues. The pavilions and the transverse staircases consist of 10,000 m3 of wood, making this Europe’s biggest wooden project. The various spaces are arranged around a spectacular central aisle bathed in light, comprising ten themed gardens and intended for public events.

The project won the ‘Europa Nostra’ award in the ‘Conservation’ category, presented in recognition of remarkable achievements in conservation, highlighting cultural heritage and adapting it for new uses.
